Bacon Cheese Spread

This spread is always a hit! Perfect for that Christmas buffet table.


4 cups (32 servings)


1 (12 ounce) package bacon strips, chopped
1/2 cup chopped pecans
4 cups (1 pound) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups mayonnaise
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons finely chopped sweet red pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
assorted crackers


Cook bacon until crisp; drain. Meanwhile in a large bowl, add the next six ingredients. Stir in bacon. Serve with crackers.
