Creamy Spinach Bake

This wonderful dish, made with cream cheese, sour cream, spinach and eggs seasoned with nutmeg. is wonderful for breakfast or brunch.


8 servings


1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature (e.g. PHILADELPHIA)
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
3 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg


Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).

Melt butter in small skillet on medium heat. Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Beat next 5 ingredients in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add onion mixture and spinach; mix just until blended.

Spoon into 9-inch square pan sprayed with cooking spray. Sprinkle with nutmeg; cover.

Bake for 45 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned, uncovering after 30 minutes.
