Chai Latte Cupcakes
Take a taste adventure with a sweet new cupcake.
1 box French vanilla cake mix (e.g. Betty Crocker® SuperMoist®)
water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box)
1 (1.1 ounce) package instant chai tea latte mix (or 3 tablespoons from
Frosting and Garnish Ingredients
1 cup white vanilla baking chips)
1 container vanilla frosting (e.g. Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy)
ground cinnamon, if desired
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Prepare muffin pan by placing paper baking cups in the cavities or by coating the cavities with Pan Release or baking spray with flour.
Make and bake cake mix as directed on box for 24 cupcakes. Cool in pans 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
In medium microwavable bowl, microwave baking chips on HIGH 30 seconds; stir until melted. If necessary, microwave 15 seconds longer. Stir until smooth; cool 5 minutes. Stir in frosting until well blended.
Immediately spread or pipe frosting mixture on cupcakes. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Chai is the Hindi word for a tea made with milk and spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg and pepper.
Instant chai tea mix comes in a variety of flavors. Experiment to find your favorite.
