French Silk Filling

This chocolate filling is delicious sandwiched between two Viennese Shortbread Star Cookies.


about 3 cups


2 2/3 cups confectioners' (powdered) sugar
2/3 cup butter or margarine, room temperature
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted, then cooled
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk


In small mixer bowl, blend sugar, butter, chocolate and vanilla on low speed. Slowly add milk. Beat until smooth.
