Firecracker Chili Powder

If regular chili powder is just not cutting it, and the chili powder packets taste, well.... packety... then this recipe is for you. The recipe will make a small canister of powder. This will be good for 1 to 3 batches of chili depending on batch size and intensity of the flavoring.

3 tablespoons

Ingredients

2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black and red pepper blend (such as McCormick Hot Shot!®)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/3 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

Mix the ground dried chilies, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black and red pepper blend, garlic powder, ground cumin, and ground nutmeg in a small bowl.

Storage

Store in an airtight container.
