Frosty Fudgy Brownie Supreme

Thaw sweet frozen cherries, blend with rich vanilla ice cream, then layer on top of chocolate brownies for this irresistible frozen treat.

Ingredients

1 (1 pound 2.3 ounce) box Betty Crocker® fudge brownie mix
water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
1 teaspoon almond extract
4 cups vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
1 (12 ounce) bag frozen dark sweet cherries, halved
1/3 cup Hershey's® chocolate-flavor syrup

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease bottom a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray.

In large bowl, stir brownie mix, water, oil and eggs until well blended. Stir in almond extract; pour into pan.

Bake for 24 to 26 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

In large bowl, mix ice cream and cherries. Place heaping spoonfuls of ice cream mixture over brownies; lightly press with back of spoon to smooth. Freeze at least 1 hour before serving.

Let stand at room temperature about 10 minutes before cutting. Drizzle individual servings with syrup. Garnish with a mint leaf and a maraschino cherry, if desired.

Additional Information

Using a plastic knife when cutting the brownies helps prevent them from sticking to the knife.

For easy cutting and serving, line the pan with nonstick foil before baking the brownies. When ready to serve, simply lift dessert out of the pan using foil.
