Quick & Easy Brownies

Quick, easy, moist, sweet and absolutely perfect brownies!

Yield

20 brownies

Ingredients

2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, room temperature
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan using Pan Release or cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, butter and cocoa until blended. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir well. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to cocoa mixture. Mix well. Stir in walnuts. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted halfway between the edge and center comes out clean. Do not overbake. Center should be set (slightly sticky) but not dry. Cool on wire rack before cutting into bars.
