Classic Shortbread Cookies

A rich buttery cookie for your cookie press.


10 dozen


2 cups butter, room temperature
1 cup granulated (white) sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour


Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and flour to butter mixture. Blend well. Place dough into cookie press fitted with desired template and press cookies onto ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes and remove from baking sheet. Continue to cool on wire cooling rack.
