Citrus Frosting

A light, citrusy frosting.


12 servings (enough to cover a 9-inch two layer cake)


1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup butter, room temperature
3 cups confectioners' (powdered) sugar
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
2 cups whipped topping


In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Add the confectioners' sugar, orange juice and peels; beat until blended. Fold in whipped topping.

Spread frosting between layers and over the top and sides of cake. Refrigerate until serving.
