Chocolate Mint Sauce

This sweet chocolate mint sauce is made with unsweetened chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint.

Yield

about 2 cups

Ingredients

2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 can (15 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 to 3/4 cup hot water
2 to 3 drops oil of peppermint

Directions

Melt chocolate in top of double boiler over boiling water. Add sweetened condensed milk and stir over boiling water for about 5 minutes, or until thick. Remove from heat. Add salt, oil of peppermint, and 1/2 to 3/4 cup hot water, depending on how thick you would like the sauce.
