Favorite Pimento Cheese

Just the right amount of spice, and just the right amount of creamy, this pimento cheese is easy to make. Use it to fill a sandwich, serve on crackers, or put it on hot dogs and burgers.


2 cups (8 servings)


8 ounces extra sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
8 ounces processed cheese food (such as Velveeta®), cubed
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 (4 ounce) jar pimentos, drained
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 red chile pepper, seeded and chopped


Place the Cheddar cheese, processed cheese, mayonnaise, pepper sauce, onion, Worcestershire sauce, pimentos, pecans, and red chile pepper in a food processor. Blend until smooth. Chill overnight for flavors to blend.
